CATNIPTAKEOUT LLC Launches Open-Source Solutions to Empower Innovation

SPOKANE, WA – October 26, 2023 – CATNIPTAKEOUT LLC, a Spokane-based technology company located at 522 W Riverside Ave Ste N, today announced the release of a suite of open-source tools designed to help businesses and developers build better, more flexible solutions. We’re a small but mighty team – think dedicated engineers and problem-solvers – and we're passionate about making powerful tech accessible to everyone. You can reach us at 413-354-6788. For years, we at CATNIPTAKEOUT LLC have been quietly working behind the scenes, building custom software for a diverse range of clients. We realized something important: the best solutions aren’t always about keeping everything secret. Sharing our work, letting others contribute, and building together ultimately creates stronger, more reliable technology. That's why we’re turning a lot of what we've built into open-source projects. What’s CATNIPTAKEOUT LLC All About? We're not your typical tech giant. We prefer being nimble, responsive, and focused on real problem-solving. We specialize in crafting software solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients, from streamlining internal processes to launching innovative new products. We've worked with everything from local small businesses to larger organizations, helping them leverage technology to grow and succeed. Think of us as your tech partners – we’re here to help you navigate the complex world of software development. Our core philosophy is built on three things: quality, collaboration, and accessibility. We believe in writing clean, well-documented code that's easy to understand and maintain. We actively seek feedback from our clients and the wider community to ensure our solutions are truly effective. And, most importantly, we're committed to making technology available to everyone, regardless of their budget or technical expertise. Introducing Our Open-Source Initiatives We’re kicking things off with a core set of tools, all available on our GitHub page (link to be announced shortly!). These aren’t just snippets of code; they're fully-fledged projects, designed to be used and improved upon by anyone. Here’s a peek at what we’ve got: "PurrfectForm" – The Dynamic Form Builder: Let's be honest, building forms is a pain. PurrfectForm is a lightweight, flexible library that lets you create dynamic forms with minimal effort. Need a form that changes based on user input? PurrfectForm can handle it. It's built with JavaScript and designed to integrate seamlessly with any modern web framework. We originally built this for a client who needed to collect complex data through their website, and it's saved them tons of time and money. Now, we’re sharing it with the world. The biggest advantage? It’s super customizable. You can tweak it to fit your exact needs. It's great for everything from simple contact forms to complex surveys. “CatnipCache” – A Fast and Efficient In-Memory Cache: Performance is critical. CatnipCache is a blazing-fast in-memory cache designed to speed up your applications. We developed it internally to optimize the performance of one of our client’s high-traffic e-commerce sites, and the results were impressive – a significant reduction in server load and faster page load times. It's written in Python and easy to integrate into your existing projects. Think of it as a boost for your application's responsiveness. The key is its simplicity; it's designed to be easy to use and configure. “WhiskerDB” – A Lightweight Key-Value Store: Need a simple database for storing configuration data or session information? WhiskerDB is a lightweight key-value store that's perfect for small to medium-sized applications. It's designed to be fast, reliable, and easy to deploy. We originally built it for a mobile app that needed to store data locally, and it proved to be a lifesaver. It’s written in Go and can be easily embedded in your applications. It’s ideal if you need a database that doesn’t require a lot of overhead. “PawPrintAuth” - A Simplified Authentication Library: Authentication is hard. PawPrintAuth simplifies the process with a user-friendly library providing secure and efficient authentication mechanisms for web applications. Built with Node.js, it integrates easily with popular frameworks and offers features like password hashing, session management and basic role-based access control. We initially developed this for a client needing a quick and secure way to manage user logins, and the streamlined design made it a breeze to implement. Why Open Source? We believe open source is the future of software development. Here's why: Innovation: When you open your code to the world, you tap into a vast pool of talent and creativity. Others can contribute ideas, bug fixes, and new features, leading to faster innovation and better software. Transparency: Open source code is transparent, meaning anyone can inspect it to ensure it's secure and reliable. This builds trust and fosters collaboration. Community: Open source projects build communities of developers who are passionate about the software and committed to its success. Cost Savings: Open-source software is often free to use, which can save businesses a significant amount of money. What’s Next? We're just getting started. We plan to release more open-source projects in the coming months, covering a wider range of technologies and use cases. We also encourage developers to contribute to our existing projects. We’re actively looking for feedback, bug reports, and feature requests. How to Get Involved: Check out our GitHub page: (Link to be announced shortly!) Fork our repositories and submit pull requests. Join our community forum (coming soon!). Spread the word! We believe that by working together, we can build a better future for software development. We’re excited to see what the community comes up with! At CATNIPTAKEOUT LLC, we're not just building software; we’re building a community. And we're genuinely excited to share our work with the world.
